Wednesday, 24 June 2009 12:35
Yee Haw!!! Calling all humans. Be sure to catch Colonel Vipers Whipstick Band this Saturday the 27th of June at the Collingwood Children's Farm. The Colonel has long been a friend of The Boot, and once spayed their band cat for a sip of warm beer. It kicks off around 6pm with the lads hitting the barn at 10pm. Check out their Facebook page here. Diggety.

Boot Up Date
Saturday, 14 March 2009 10:12
Hi folks. Quick round up of the past few months for The Boot. There have been some rather huge thangs happening of late. Here is the quick version.

Jan / Feb saw the band take in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne for this years Devil's Kitchen Festival. The festival was headlined by UK act Winnebago Deal and featured the best of local talent at each show. Saw and played with some fucking awesome bands and engaged in questionable behavior with some good peoples. Cheers to everyone who helped put the shows together, especially Skye of The Little Bird Agency. Bring on 2010.

The band also played another of The Public Bar's classic album covers nights, this time they tackled the awesome "Songs For The Deaf" from Queens of the Stone Age. T'was an awesome night, cheers to Tommy & Pirie who joined the band on the night. Also on the bill were My Trainwreck Of A Life, their album being the Hottest 100 CD of 1995! Ace Of Base's "All That She Wants" was a thing to behold!

A big night was also had at Mt Hotham for the 2nd Cool Summer Festival. An amazing festival that is sure to be even bigger next year. Cheers to Lee Rosser and the crew for that one. All police enquires can be directed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The Boot will be playing a couple of shows in the next month or so, but following this will be bunkering down to record a full length album. Expect to see it later this year. Keep an eye out for more updates until then! Over...

Folk, Rhythm and Life Festival + More
Tuesday, 09 December 2008 09:25
Quick round up of what is happening in the land of The Boot.

The band just returned from the incredible Folk, Rhythm and Life Festival, held in Eldorado Victoria, and what mighty fine experience that was. Incredible bands at one amazing place combined with heaps of questionable behavior, shit yes!

Thanks to all who came and ripped it up with the band, special mention goes to those who jumped on stage and nearly brought the house down literally, and of course the Admiral.

The Boot have also recently been in the studio with Loki Lockwood (Spiderbait, St Ft Hick + More) punching out some tracks for the coming album which will be out in 2009. It's sounding quite rad indeed, stay tuned for updates.

The Tote - 9th of October
Friday, 03 October 2008 05:03
My Left Boot follow up on their rather grande Espy show last month with a night of feasting and pleasures at The Tote this Thursday the 9th of October. Following a banquet of delicately fried snags, basted lightly in dead horse and heavily sautéed onion, and served on a scrumptious bed of white grain derived loaf. Your remaining senses will be whisked and beaten and left to thicken by The Boot. Also on the menu are the delicious Lucifers Gift, and for desert, the to die for Thomy & The Tanks. BBQ @ 8pm - Music @ 9pm.

Huge Espy Show
Monday, 15 September 2008 15:44
My Left Boot hit the Espy on Friday 19th of September for no reason at all, except to rock the very core of the earth and its inhabitants. The shenanigans take place in the Gershwin Room and feature special guests Fred Negro's 57 Pages of Pink, Ancient Man and Thomy & the Tanks. There will be little to no live animal testing on the night, so come along at about 9pm.

Its gonna the biggest thing since spilt milk.
